Shipping & Delivery Policy
Last Updated: August 2026
At SÍSÍ ROUGE HOME, we deliver “Gallery Quality” furniture to discerning clients worldwide. Our logistics process is designed to protect the structural integrity, materials, and craftsmanship of each piece throughout long-distance international transportation.
Because our furniture is predominantly large, made-to-order, and individually produced, international delivery is significantly different from standard parcel shipping. Transit times, shipping methods, customs procedures, taxes, delivery arrangements, and costs may vary considerably depending on the destination country and the characteristics of each order.
We therefore strongly recommend that customers contact our team before placing an order to confirm the available shipping method, estimated delivery timeline, and applicable shipping costs for their destination.
1. ORIGIN & GLOBAL DESTINATIONS
Most SÍSÍ ROUGE HOME orders are dispatched from our manufacturing and logistics facilities in Guangdong (including Foshan and Dongguan) and Zhejiang, China, depending on the product and production location.
We provide international shipping services to many destinations, including:
-
North America
-
Europe
-
Australia and New Zealand
-
Southeast Asia
-
The Middle East
-
Other international destinations upon request
Shipping availability may vary depending on the destination, product dimensions, local regulations, customs requirements, and transportation conditions.
For destinations not routinely served by our logistics partners, please contact our team before placing an order for a customized shipping assessment.
2. PRODUCTION LEAD TIME & INTERNATIONAL DELIVERY TIME
The total time required to receive your furniture generally consists of:
Production Lead Time + Preparation & Packaging + International Transit + Customs Clearance + Local / Final-Mile Delivery
Because each stage may vary, delivery times are estimates rather than guaranteed arrival dates, unless a specific delivery commitment has been confirmed by SÍSÍ ROUGE HOME in writing.
Different Destinations Have Different Transit Times
International shipping distances vary significantly from country to country. As a result, there is no single standard delivery timeframe applicable to all destinations.
Transit times may be affected by:
-
Geographic distance
-
Shipping method
-
Ocean freight schedules
-
Port congestion
-
Transshipment
-
Customs clearance
-
Local holidays
-
Weather conditions
-
Destination-country regulations
-
Local delivery capacity
-
Warehouse or terminal handling
-
Final-mile delivery arrangements
For this reason, estimated delivery windows provided for one country or region should not be assumed to apply to another destination.
Before You Place an Order
Please contact our team before placing your order to confirm the estimated production and delivery timeline for your specific destination.
If you have a specific deadline, renovation schedule, moving date, event, or other time-sensitive requirement, please inform our team before purchasing so that we can assess the available shipping options and estimated timeframe.
3. SHIPPING METHODS — DDP & DDU
Depending on the destination and available logistics services, SÍSÍ ROUGE HOME may offer different international shipping arrangements, including DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) and DDU / DAP-style arrangements where applicable.
DDP — Delivered Duty Paid
Under a DDP arrangement, applicable import duties, taxes, and customs-related costs may be included in the quoted logistics price, depending on the destination and the specific quotation.
The exact scope of DDP services will be confirmed in your individual shipping quotation.
DDU / DAP — Duties & Taxes Unpaid
Under a DDU or DAP-style arrangement, applicable import duties, VAT/GST, customs charges, brokerage fees, or other destination-country charges are generally not included in the shipping price and may be payable by the recipient.
DDP & DDU Pricing
DDP and DDU shipping prices are different because they include different services, taxes, duties, customs procedures, and destination-related costs.
Therefore, customers should not assume that a DDU quotation can simply be converted into a DDP quotation by adding a standard percentage.
Please contact our team before placing your order to confirm which shipping method is available for your destination and to obtain the corresponding DDP or DDU shipping quotation.
The shipping method and applicable charges should be confirmed before the order proceeds to production and shipment.
4. SHIPPING COSTS & CUSTOM QUOTATIONS
Because our products are large and often require specialized international transportation, shipping costs are generally calculated according to factors including:
-
Destination country and city
-
Product dimensions
-
Shipping volume (CBM)
-
Product weight
-
Number of pieces
-
Packaging dimensions
-
Ocean freight rates
-
Port charges
-
Customs requirements
-
DDP or DDU shipping terms
-
Destination handling
-
Local transportation
-
Final-mile delivery requirements
-
Special handling or access requirements
For this reason, the shipping cost shown or quoted for one product or destination may differ significantly from another.
For made-to-order furniture, our concierge team may provide a custom shipping quotation based on the specific product and delivery destination.
Please confirm the shipping quotation and shipping method with our team before placing your order whenever possible.
5. REINFORCED PACKAGING FOR INTERNATIONAL FURNITURE
Because our furniture may travel thousands of kilometers by sea and through multiple stages of international handling, packaging is an essential part of our logistics process.
Large Furniture & Fragile Pieces
For large furniture, stone furniture, sculptural pieces, and other products requiring enhanced protection, we will generally use reinforced protective packaging such as:
-
Custom wooden crates
-
Reinforced wooden frames
-
Wooden pallets
-
Protective corner structures
-
High-density foam
-
Shock-absorbing materials
-
Protective wrapping
-
Moisture-resistant protective materials where appropriate
The specific packaging method depends on the product's structure, material, dimensions, weight, and transportation requirements.
Wooden Crating
For many large furniture pieces, wooden crates or reinforced wooden frames are used to provide additional structural protection during long-distance international transportation.
The purpose of the packaging is to reduce the risk of impact, compression, vibration, scratching, and other damage during handling and transportation.
Because each product has different structural and packaging requirements, the final packaging configuration may vary from piece to piece.
6. DELIVERY TYPE & ACCESS TO YOUR PROPERTY
International furniture shipments may be delivered using different levels of service depending on the destination and quotation.
Standard / Curbside Delivery
Unless otherwise stated in your shipping quotation, international furniture delivery may be arranged on a curbside or standard freight-delivery basis.
This generally means that the carrier delivers the packaged furniture to an accessible delivery point at or near the customer's address.
The customer may be responsible for arranging assistance to move the furniture from the delivery point into the residence.
Access Requirements
Before ordering large furniture, customers are responsible for confirming that the furniture and its packaging can be safely transported through:
-
Building entrances
-
Doors
-
Hallways
-
Elevators
-
Staircases
-
Corridors
-
Gates
-
Driveways
-
Other access points
Please carefully check the dimensions of the furniture and the packaged/crated dimensions where applicable.
If specialized equipment, additional labor, stair carrying, crane services, hoisting, or other access solutions are required, these costs may be charged separately unless specifically included in the shipping quotation.
White Glove / Room-of-Choice Service
Where available, premium services such as:
-
Room-of-choice delivery
-
Indoor delivery
-
Assembly
-
Packaging removal
-
White Glove service
may be available at an additional cost in selected regions.
Please contact our team before shipment if you require a specific delivery service.
7. CUSTOMS, DUTIES & TAXES
International orders may be subject to customs duties, VAT, GST, import taxes, brokerage fees, port charges, or other government-imposed costs depending on the destination country.
The customer's responsibility for these charges depends on the agreed shipping terms.
Under DDP
Where DDP has been specifically quoted and confirmed, applicable duties, taxes, and customs-related charges included in the DDP quotation will be handled according to the agreed shipping arrangement.
Under DDU / DAP
Where DDU or DAP-style shipping has been agreed, the recipient may be responsible for applicable:
-
Import duties
-
VAT/GST
-
Customs taxes
-
Brokerage fees
-
Local customs charges
-
Storage fees
-
Other destination-related government or carrier charges
Customers are responsible for providing accurate delivery and customs information where required.
Refused or Abandoned Shipments
If a shipment is refused, abandoned, or returned because the customer fails or refuses to pay applicable duties, taxes, customs charges, storage fees, or other destination-related costs, the customer may remain responsible for the resulting transportation, storage, return, disposal, or other costs.
8. TRANSIT INSURANCE — APPLIED TO EVERY SHIPMENT
Because our furniture is high-value and travels long distances through multiple stages of international logistics, SÍSÍ ROUGE HOME requires cargo / transit insurance to be purchased for every shipment.
This insurance is intended to provide protection against qualifying loss or damage occurring during transportation, subject to the applicable insurance policy, exclusions, claim requirements, and coverage limits.
The existence of transit insurance does not mean that every type of damage or loss is automatically covered.
Any insurance claim will be subject to the applicable carrier and insurer's terms and claim procedures.
9. DELIVERY INSPECTION & SHIPPING DAMAGE
Customers should carefully inspect the external packaging when the shipment arrives.
If the Crate or Packaging Is Damaged
If the wooden crate, wooden frame, carton, pallet, or other protective packaging appears damaged upon arrival:
-
Photograph the exterior packaging before opening it;
-
Photograph all visible damage from multiple angles;
-
Where possible, record the damage on the carrier's delivery receipt or delivery documentation;
-
Record a continuous unboxing video from the unopened package through the final inspection of the furniture;
-
Contact contact@sisirouge.com as soon as possible.
Unboxing Documentation
For high-value furniture, we strongly recommend recording a continuous, uninterrupted unboxing video.
The video should show:
Undamaged / damaged exterior packaging → opening of the package → removal of protective materials → complete furniture condition.
This documentation may be required by the carrier or insurance provider when evaluating a transit-damage claim.
Please retain the original packaging until our team confirms that it is no longer required for the claim process.
10. SHIPPING DAMAGE CLAIMS
If damage appears to have occurred during transportation, please contact SÍSÍ ROUGE HOME immediately.
Our team will assist you in communicating with the relevant logistics provider and, where applicable, submitting the necessary insurance or carrier claim.
Please provide:
-
Order number
-
Delivery date
-
Photos of the external packaging
-
Photos of the damaged furniture
-
Continuous unboxing video where available
-
Delivery receipt or carrier documentation
-
Description of the damage
We will work with the relevant logistics provider and insurer to determine the appropriate resolution according to the applicable claim process.
11. TRACKING & SHIPPING UPDATES
International ocean freight does not generally provide real-time GPS tracking comparable to domestic parcel delivery.
Depending on the shipping method, tracking information may be available at major logistics milestones, such as:
-
Cargo collection
-
Export preparation
-
Port arrival
-
Vessel departure
-
Transshipment
-
Destination port arrival
-
Customs clearance
-
Local warehouse arrival
-
Final-mile delivery
Tracking frequency and visibility vary according to the carrier, freight forwarder, shipping method, and destination.
Once the relevant shipping information becomes available, our team will provide the applicable tracking information or shipping documentation.
12. DELIVERY DELAYS & UNFORESEEN CIRCUMSTANCES
International freight schedules may be affected by circumstances beyond the control of SÍSÍ ROUGE HOME, including:
-
Port congestion
-
Vessel schedule changes
-
Transshipment delays
-
Customs inspections
-
Customs clearance delays
-
Severe weather
-
Natural disasters
-
Labor disruptions
-
Government restrictions
-
Public holidays
-
Carrier capacity
-
Changes in international shipping conditions
-
Other unforeseen logistics circumstances
Estimated delivery dates are therefore not guaranteed unless expressly confirmed in writing.
We will make reasonable efforts to communicate material delays when information becomes available from our logistics partners.
13. IMPORTANT NOTICE BEFORE PURCHASING

-
Confirm whether DDP or DDU / DAP-style shipping is available
-
